Speech recognition runs inside your own browser, so your audio is never uploaded or stored on our servers. Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in any modern browser on desktop, tablet and phone. An optional Chrome extension is available if you prefer dictating inside tabs.

Is my voice private?

Yes. Recognition uses your browser's built-in engine, so audio is not uploaded or stored by us.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, in Safari on iOS and Chrome on Android. On Android the microphone meter is simulated because the browser blocks simultaneous audio capture during dictation.
