Writers drafting first versions out loud, students capturing lecture notes, founders dictating pitches between meetings, clinicians recording observations at the end of a shift, and people with limited mobility or dyslexia who find typing slow or painful. Yes. Dictation, editing, automatic punctuation, translation and copying are free, with no account and no credit card.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in any modern browser on desktop, tablet and phone. An optional Chrome extension is available if you prefer dictating inside tabs.

Is my voice private?

Yes. Recognition uses your browser's built-in engine, so audio is not uploaded or stored by us.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, in Safari on iOS and Chrome on Android. On Android the microphone meter is simulated because the browser blocks simultaneous audio capture during dictation.
